Bombay DBSS has launched “Swachhata Se Samriddhi” campaign on 16th October 2017 in Bombay Diocese office in presence of Bishop Rt. Rev. Prakash D Patole.

WASH Campaign “Swachhata Se Samriddhi” was launched on 15th October’ 2017 at Malgoan village of Diocesan Board of Social Services, Diocese of Kolhapur. Inaugural program started with lightening of lamp by the elders (men & women) of the village. Mr. Yoseph Awale, program coordinator DBSS of Kolhapur and Amol Bhandare, community enabler shared information on hand wash, personal hygiene and cleanliness of the surroundings. 75 villagers participated in the inaugural meeting. Participants were given a demo on how to wash hands with soap. After that people washed their hands with soap and and took oath to use soap/ash after defecation, before and after eating meals.
WASH campaign was launched by Nagpur Diocese on 16 Oct’ 2017 at 11:30 AM at Mahil Sadan building. Chief guest Rt. Rev. Paul Dupare , honorable Bishop of Nagpur Diocese inaugurated the campaign. 23 participants along with Rev. J.J. Pathre, vice president of NDC and NDDA, Mr. Samsung Wankhede, Male Nurse, Mure Memorial Hospital and Anil Dupare, Project coordinator of NDDA were present in the occasion. In his inaugural address, Bishop Dupare shared about the importance of washing hands before and after eating, using toilets and after serving/touching sick people. He thanked CNI-SBSS/DBSS for implementing the campaign. Mr. Samsung Wankhede, male nurse MMH shared the health benefits of washing hands and showed a demo on how to wash hands. All the participants present in the meeting washed their hands and signed on the campaign pledge.
